The Enermazing Weekly Ticker (10) 10th – 16th October 2011

+ +++ +++ Site News +++ +++ +

The Enermazing Project is dragging its feet, and there didn’t seem much that I could do about it but wait when I remembered one of my favourite quotes by Richard Bach (below).

Asking “What’s the gift I’m getting here?” gave me a different perspective. I shifted from what I can’t do at the moment to what is in place already – which is loads, and ready to go.

I’ll pass on the “big” launch idea for this year (which will also free a considerable amount of time and energy for what is important) and focus on preparing a little starter package – more on this next week 🙂

For today, I’ve got two pieces of site news:

  • a new page in the About… section of the menu “With a pinch of salt” which – despite its title – got nothing to do with cooking 😉
  • a poll in the sidebar

Have a great week 🙂

Maria

There is no such thing as a problem without a gift for you in its hands. You seek problems because you need their gifts.

  1. Your quotes of the week are awesome! Where do you get them from?
    I will have to keep reminding myself to look at problems like they’re gifts, waiting to teach me something. 🙂

    1. This change of perspective makes life so much easier as it stops the inner and outer struggles. It helps us stay calm, let go and channel our energies towards what can do 🙂

      Re the quotes: About half of them from memory. I’m not much good at exact citations, but in most cases I remember the author’s name and enough of a quote to google it. The other half (and their sources) I usually find through wikiquote. When I began this blog I also started a quotes collection where I save anything else I come across while searching and browsing. If possible, I use quotes where the source is known.

  2. Ah ha….a starter package???….I’m looking forward to it! And the poll in the sidebar?…all of them are such good ideas that I’d love more ideas about any/all of them…they all intertwine, too…so, how to choose???? Okay…I have a question..which do you feel most passionate about?..because maybe that would be what you might “speak to” most helpfully.

    1. “…they all intertwine, too…so, how to choose…”
      Yes, the topics are all connected, at their roots or through their branches, but nevertheless they are stand-alones in a greater context and focus on different aspects at a time. – I don’t need to choose anymore, they are all ready to go ;).

      I’ll add your refining question to the poll – hope you don’t mind 🙂
